Publication date: 22/3/2024

Myth . . . legend . . . or history so steeped in antiquity that we know it in our bones to be true?  From Ur in the marshes of 16th-century B. C. Sumer to Troy in the Fenlands of England and the beginnings of London, Marchell Abrahams peels back the centuries to reveal the founding of our country by the Sumerian princess whom the British histories call Albyne.  She takes us from the end of Roman kingship in Italy to the quelling of a savage civil war in 5th-century B. C. Britain by Brutus, descendant of King Leir, and his assumption, a thousand years after Albyne, of the High Kingship of an already ancient nation.  This is British history.

Reviews for The Great Migrations to Britain of 1527 B.C. and 485 B.C.

This is a riveting read; we in the field have immensely benefitted by its attention to detail, which has distilled sensible solutions to understanding our past out from the fog of legend.

5 stars out of 5.  Very important pre-Roman British history drawn together from several important sources.  Written in wonderful style this work is ideal and enjoyable for beginner or expert alike.  A must for proper British historians.

What an absolute crank.

Fascinating.  Reminding me rather of The Old Straight Track, The Great Migrations to Britain is an enthusiastic and readable account of the author's researches among the documents historians tend to write off as merely mythical, forgetting that even myths need a starting inspiration.  Part of each myth is probably based on truth . . . but how much?  And come to that, how much of the current accepted version can be proved beyond doubt?  This book makes me want to go back to the original source material to check everything I thought I knew about the early history of Britain.

I love the feel and the look of it.  It stands out as a book I'd want to read in amongst masses of others.  Beautifully designed, can't wait to get stuck in.

Marchell's diligent work and skilful etymology have produced a large calibre Gatling Gun of a book. It hits the reader with a withering fusillade of illustrated historical revelations on every page. Most strikingly, it now appears there is a well researched, complete ancient British King list all the way back to 2000 B.C. Very happy to have this available on my bookshelf.

Tim Lewis

An excellent book.  Packed with interesting history of our ancient heritage.  Pivotal is the Khumric language in revealing the knowledge.

Superb!  I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and learning . . .  Marchell Abrahams' depth of knowledge is so impressive, especially pulling all the strands together to show where the connections were/are.  Praise for her meticulous attention to detail and fluent style of writing.  We can't truly know who we are if we don't know who we were.

Helen of Elmet

. . . meticulous in research, monumental in scope.

David Griffith

. . . monumental and richly fascinating.

John E Hart, author of 'The National CV of Britain'

It's a wonderful read and I greatly enjoyed it.  So many things have clicked into place, I feel as if my head furniture has had a better considered reconfigure.  Heartfelt thanks to Marchell for sharing her work and for getting this out.

John Griffiths

The Great Migrations has an incredible amount of information packed into a small space.  It is an amazing book, and the mainstream academics have to acknowledge it as definitively important.  My mind has been opened to the truth of our history.
